At the AERO INDIA 2025 International Airshow, the Almaz
– Antey Air and Space Defence Corporation will demonstrate models of combat
elements in the S-400 Triumph long-range surface-to-air (SAM) system. The latter
is intended for downing airborne targets that are in service or under
development. In particular, the S-400 can defeat electronic warfare (EW)
aircraft capable of jamming, Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS)
aircraft, reconnaissance aircraft, including those which are members in
reconnaissance-strike systems, tactical and operational-tactical ballistic
missiles, medium-range ballistic missiles, Stealth aircraft, as well as other
airborne targets in the conditions of intense electric warfare.
At the company’s stand, there are a few scaled models on
display, including the Tor (English: Torus) family of short-range SAM systems:
the automated Tor-Ì2ÊÌ in stationary and mobile versions, the Tor-E2 on a
tracked chassis, and the Tor-M2K on a wheeled chassis. They are intended for
protection of both important objects and troops, including those marching,
against strikes of airplanes, helicopters, cruise, anti-radiation and other
guided missiles, gliding and guided bombs, as well as unmanned air vehicles (UAVs)
in complex weather and jamming conditions. In less than three minutes these
systems can go from on-the-move to ready-to-shoot mode. From other SAM systems
in the given class, the Tor differs in having higher mobility, and is easier to
operate. Besides, it consumes less power, and can shoot while in motion.
The show visitors can acquaint themselves with the Taifun-PVO (Typhoon – Air
Defense) combat vehicle for a detachment of MANPAD (man-portable air defense)
system operators. It uses the chassis of the KAMAZ-4386 armored truck and is
intended for close-in defense of troops against aerial targets in all battle
situations, including that when troops are marching. The Taifun-PVO(E)
exportable system is outfitted with a radio station of the Akveduk family, the
Azimuth navigation equipment, and a rack with sight for the Kord machine-gun.
Provision is made for the combat vehicle to transport an ammunition set and five
servicemen: commander, two MANPAD operators, a machine-gun operator, and an
electrician-driver.
The show visitors are invited to the company’s stand to become acquainted with
the MSP-418K compact jammer that equips the MiG-29 series fighters. This device
is capable of setting individual and individual-mutual active disturbances to
disrupt radio electronic control systems of guided weapons. It is possible to
integrate the MPS-418Ê aboard other aircraft types of Russian and foreign
origin.
For the first time in public, Almaz-Antey is going to reveal information on the
L203 (Gardenia). This active jammer is intended for protection of aircraft
against air-to-air and surface-to-air missiles with radio electronic guidance
systems.
Besides, the manufacturer will make use of the Aero India 2025 to demonstrate a
scaled model of the Radikon set intended for performing repairs and checks to do
with maintenance and overhaul procedures applicable to weapon systems and
military equipment in places of troops’ deployment.
The show visitors may take the opportunity to listen to the manufacturer’s
representatives on naval air defense systems. At the company’s stand it will be
possible to receive information about the following: the Shtil-1, Resource,
Rif-M air defense systems, as well as the Moskit-E and Moskit-MVE anti-shipping
missile systems, and the Podzagolovnik-24E set for electromagnetic compatibility
of various radio electronic systems aboard a warship.
The show visitors may also exploit an opportunity to acquaint themselves with a
wide range of radars, including the Gamma-S1TE, Kasta-VME, Iskra-E, Podlet-K1KE,
Furke-E, Vitim, Podsolnukh-E, 1L121E, 1L122E and 1L125E, as well as the
Voprosnik-E multimode secondary radar, information on which is available at the
manufacturer’s stand.
During the air show in Bangalore, the manufacturer will hold meetings with
traditional partners. It hopes to attract more potential customers, including
those interested in modernization, upgrade and maintenance of earlier supplied
equipment.
