For Russia, the International
Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi has
become a platform for demonstrating the latest
achievements of the defense industry. It was in Abu
Dhabi that the international premieres of many Russian
top products on the arms market took place. Let's follow
the history of Russian premieres at IDEX
Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec: ‘IDEX is one of
the largest events, the largest platform where Russia
can present its best military developments in a format
that fully meets the requirements of the times’.

At the IDEX’2025 international
defense show, the Almaz - Antey Air and Space Defence
Corporation will demonstrate a few products for air
defense and radiolocation. Among specialists included in
the manufacturer’s delegation there will be employees of
companies that are members in the Corporation, and
specialized in development and production of military
equipment
The show visitors are invited to the Almaz - Antey
exposition where they can become acquainted with
Russian-made systems for air defense troops of the Land
forces. In particular, the S-300V4 Antey-4000 and Viking
surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems will be
demonstrated at the manufacturer’s stand.

At the IDEX-2025 exhibition in Abu
Dhabi (UAE), the ’High Precision Weapons’ holding will
demonstrate advanced weapons and military equipment, as
well as new developments and solutions
Among the most popular pieces of high precision weapons,
developed by the holding’ subsidiaries and proven by
combat, there are the Pantsir family of anti-aircraft
missile and gun systems, the Kornet-EM anti-tank missile
system, the Iskander-E tactical ballistic missile
system, the Igla-S MANPAD, the Item-305E light
multipurpose guided missile, the BMP-2M infantry
fighting vehicle with the Berezhok weapon station, the
BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle, the BMD-4M airborne
assault vehicle etc.

On December last year in Gia Lam Airport, Hanoi, Vietnam there was Vietnam Defence Expo 2024
Over 140 high-level international delegations including
Ministers, Deputy Ministers, and Commanders of defense
and security forces from various countries and over 350
senior national delegations took part in Expo in Hanoi.
The special edition of the Expo was to celebrate the
80th Anniversary of Viet Nam People’s Army with
significant activites provided more opportunity for
exhibitors to access to high-ranking defence and
military leaders from Viet Nam, ASEAN and other
countries. ROSOBORONEXPORT JSC organized the
demonstration of the latest Russian defence and security
technologies at Vietnam Defence Expo 2024.

The most important condition for
the development of relations between the Russian
Federation and the United Arab Emirates is the friendly
relations between the leaders of the two countries,
President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of the
United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan
Every meeting of the leaders became a milestone in the
development of the partnership between the countries and
a crucial factor in strengthening global stability.
One of the most important meetings between the two
leaders was the recent meeting on October 20, 2024 in
the Novo-Ogaryovo residence in the Moscow Region.

Among innovative designs that
Russia is going to exhibit at IDEX’2025, in the
exposition of air defense systems for naval
applications, there is the Komar mount from the RATEP
joint stock company, a member in the Almaz-Antey
Corporation
The mount on display represents an upgraded version, the
3Ì47-03E. The improved Komar enables automated launches
of the Igla surface-to-air missiles. They are intended
for close-in protection of surface warships against
anti-ship missiles, airplanes and helicopters in the
conditions of natural disturbances (unintended
interference) and intended jamming. Besides, the Komar
also enables shooting at ground and sea-going targets
with the Ataka family missiles.

Cooperation (MTC) with foreign countries shall be
controlled and supervised by the Federal Service for
Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC of Russia).
