Scientific and Production Association Strela, PJSC: radar stations for protection and monitoring

The Scientific and Production Association Strela, PJSC (part of Almaz - Antey Air and Space Defence Corporation) specializes in the development and production of modern security systems that combine advanced scientific, technical and technological achievements in the field of radar technologies. The product line covers both civil and military security tasks, providing reliable round-the-clock perimeter control in all weather conditions. Radars manufactured by Strela are used to protect strategic facilities, to control state borders, and to monitor especially protected areas.

Among the modern competitive civilian products of Strela is the Sova radar station for facility protection. Equipped with an optoelectronic high-precision identification system, the radar station Sova monitors ground, surface and air situations, detecting people at a range of up to 8 km, vehicles at a range up to 20 km, and DJI Mavic-type UAVs at a range up to 4 km. Radar and video information is transmitted to the control panel screen in real time. The station's radiation power is comparable to that of a mobile phone, making the radar safe for humans and ensuring electromagnetic compatibility with other technical devices used at the protected facility.

The Fara-VR military-purpose radar station has successfully proven itself in the smooth performance of reconnaissance tasks for ground-based moving targets faced by the army and special forces. The radar is designed for automated transmission of target data to external consumers and for targeting of mounted automatic small arms, and is capable of operating at any time of day and in any weather conditions. The radar can be integrated with various types of small arms, such as PKMN, Pecheneg, Kord machine guns, AGS-17 and AGS-30 automatic grenade launchers. In this configuration, the radar station detects moving targets, and the firearms destroy them without having to dismantle the station from the weapon. The control panel display of the radar shows information about the radar's operating modes, marks from detected targets and their movement paths, security zones and lines, and target coordinates in polar or rectangular coordinates.

Due to its advantages, such as minimal weight and energy consumption, resistance to harsh external conditions, and ergonomic design, Fara-VR is an effective tool for border protection, battlefield target surveillance, destruction of the detected group targets when paired with weapons, and protection of civilian and military facilities. At the same time, the low output power of the transmitter and the broadband signal usage ensure high stealth operation of the radar.

In conditions where the speed of response is a key factor in effective defence, the radars developed by Scientific and Production Association Strela, PJSC allow for the detection of threats at the earliest possible stages, providing the necessary time to make decisions on how to counter them. At the same time, modern technical solutions and high-quality production guarantee the effective functioning of the equipment and the stability of its operating characteristics throughout the entire life cycle of the products.
