Russian Aviation & Military Guide ¹ 02(87) February, 2026

Military exhibitions and forums nowadays become the platforms for demonstration and basis for proof of various concepts for many active players
The significant rise of the role of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in today's military conflicts had led to a fundamental revision of both general combat doctrines and specific features of offensive and defensive tactics: in particular, the structures of air defense systems are currently undergoing definitive changes. In addition to classic air defense and missile defense systems, alternative projects and technologies are being tested and put into practice.
From 20-22 January at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) there were Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX) & Simulation and Training Exhibition (SimTEX) 2026, bringing together the world’s most influential leaders, innovators, and decision-makers shaping the future of unmanned and autonomous systems across defence and commercial sectors
UMEX 2026 brings together 375+ exhibitors from over 38 countries including industry leaders, government officials, innovators, and businessmans. In this year UMEX became the largest global platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange across both defence and commercial unmanned and autonomous sectors. Russia took part in UMEX & SimTEX 2026 the first time.

The Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol JSC continues to actively promote its defence products on the global arms and military equipment market, consistently meeting and exceeding the increased requirements of the State Defence Order
The new-generation air defence missile systems of the Tor family provide cover for facilities and troops on the march from high-precision weapons, drones and enemy manned aircraft. Their key advantages are rapid deployment, the ability to fire on the move, high mobility and cost-effectiveness, and unique combat experience in the zone of special military operation. The exhibition also features a large-scale model of the Typhoon-PVO.
Relations between the Russian Federation and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are on the rise and are characterized by high trust and mutual respect
Frequent meetings and telephone conversations between the leaders of both countries are clear evidence of this fact. Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Saudi Arabia on December, 2023 and his talks with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud in the Saudi King’s al-Yamamah Palace are a bright step towards strengthening and developing relations between the countries. This visit is called historic and a landmark in the world not only for the development of relations between the two countries, but also for the strengthening of world security.
